THE NAME IS BACK.
BUT THAT’S THE EASY PART.
IT’S THE WORK THAT MATTERS.
Woodz is built for players and families who want more than a team.
Academy builds the foundation.
Elite demands the details.
The System connects every step.
Most players are looking for somewhere to play.
The right ones are looking for something to become.
WOODZ IS FOR THE ONES WHO WANT THE WORK.
SELECTION SATURDAY
The next Woodz Elite roster starts here.
Fayetteville, Arkansas
Classes 2028–2032
Selection Saturday is our open evaluation for players interested in Woodz Elite Girls.
Come compete.
Come be evaluated.
Come see how we work.
We’re evaluating the athlete.
You should be evaluating the program too.
-
We’re not trying to identify the player who can dominate one afternoon.
We’re trying to understand what translates.
Can you create an advantage?
Can you recognize one somebody else created?
Can you make the next play?
Can you defend without needing the ball to matter?
Can you communicate?
Can you compete when you’re tired?
Can you adjust after being corrected?
Can you help a group function? We’ll notice size, athleticism, shooting and skill.
But we’re also watching pace, decisions, habits, toughness, awareness and how quickly a player learns.
Because talent may get you noticed.
Value is what makes people trust you.
-
Don’t come to Selection Saturday only asking whether your daughter can make Woodz.
Ask whether Woodz should be trusted with her development.
Watch how coaches teach when a player gets something wrong.
Listen to how feedback is delivered.
Pay attention to whether players are being coached or simply organized.
Ask who is responsible for development between tournaments.
Ask how film is used.
Ask how roles are communicated.
Ask what happens when a player isn’t playing much.
Ask what recruiting support actually looks like before your daughter has offers.
Ask whether there is a plan beyond putting talented players in the same jersey.
Every program can tell you what it offers.
Watch closely enough to see what it actually does.
We’re evaluating your athlete.
You should be evaluating us..
-
Selection Saturday is an evaluation, not the entire decision.
Some players may leave with immediate clarity.
Others may need another look, another conversation or more evaluation before a roster decision is made.
We’re not interested in filling teams as quickly as possible.
We’re interested in building the right teams.
That means fit matters.
Role matters.
Development needs matter.
Coachability matters.
What we believe we can actually do for the player matters.
If we invite a player into Woodz, we should be able to explain why she belongs here—and what comes next.
Making the roster isn’t the finish line.
It’s where the work becomes more specific.
